Douglas Dure, born in Quebec City in 1957 and raised and educated in
rural/suburban Ottawa Kanata, the great-grandson of Elizabeth Castle,
and William Bowes, of the Bowes Family of Durham County in England.
A relation to the Bowes-Lyon Family of Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon.
Elizabeth the 1st was the last Queen of Ireland, and Empress of India,
and affectionately known as The Queen Mother.
James’ mother an art historian, and father an engineering-physicist,
whose first job was with Avro, the aviation company which in the 1950’s
built Canada’s first flying-saucer [the “Avrocar”]
and of course the Avro “Arrow”.
James owns and operates Dreampalace
Publishing, and New-Clear Press. He has been a “self-published”
Author since 1996. James began as a civil engineering-draftsman at age
16 and later began teaching English as a second language in Latin America.
James is a musician with over 100 compositions published. Under the
names Sacred WinePress, Dreampalace Publishing, and New-Clear Press
James has written over 140 works of which 12 are published, including:
